“Tooru was always one to strive for greater heights, but at the foot of the thousands of years old waterfall, he can only give himself up to an overpowering feeling of smallness. It rids his mind of worry, of all the questions he has been asking himself and others. Strips Tooru down to the very core and leaves only an inner quietude. It splits his heart open and shows him all the things lying in the right place. One of them, volleyball, his stamped passport, his lived-in apartment in Argentina. The other, his family, his friends and teammates, Hajime. There is so much more Tooru can still do—the right time will come for it. For now, he embraces the lulling flow of the water. ”
